pink balloon is an effort to move with and toward soft joy, individually and as a group. The ensemble embodies water and air at different temperatures: melting and merging to form a liquid mass, then simmering, boiling, evaporating, and beginning the cycle again. pink balloon was performed on an abandoned railroad track in Long Island City at sunset on New Years Eve, encountered unexpectedly at the end of an audience procession. We were vibrating sculptures, undulating blobs, murmurating starlings. We condensed, became one liquid, and dispersed.
